I say this elsewhere:
On Sketches of Spain, Concerto de Aranjuez was recorded in two alternate takes. I’ve combined both of them into a single track. Run time is 15:37.366.
The vetical line on this screen capture indicates where part one ends and part 2 begins. I had to down sample this and convert stereo to mono in order to have a filesize that could be uploaded to Tumblr. Still it’s quite an accomplishment. To listen, click on the image.
The software used for this is CoolEdit 2000. It was a product of a small company, Syntrillium Software, that was acquired by Adobe. It’s much too expensive now for an individual. Fortunately I have the original and I can still run it on VISTA but not on my 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate system.
So sad. I think some people still believe corporations are just like people. If you ask them how old the Earth is you’ll get a very strange answer.
